i find when i sketch with pencil my drawings can get too tight too quickly. i put too much labor into them and they lose the energy. so i elected to draw with a nice fluid pen which gives some really energetic lines. Not being able to correct mistakes forces you to draw with more confidence. works great.

Sometime I do the same, and put down my pencil and draw with a marker so that I can draw freely and not worry about rendering and making the drawing perfect. It would be a great idea if you fill up the entire sketchbook with these types of loose drawings.
totally agree, although the first line is the hardest! after that it all flows wonderfully. your work is superb.
